About Society Cycles

You may think that SBR Cycles is the 'new kid on the block" in Utah County but we actually have lengthy roots here. SBR Cycles was started in 2003. At the time, we were primarily a triathlon store. In fact, as many people ask, that is how we got our name SBR. S- Swim, B- Bike and R-Run. Ohhhh, now that makes sense. Over the years, the store has moved a few times. Each relocation was a step up. We now find ourselves right in the thick of things at 858 South State in Orem. We are appreciably bigger than when we first started and we owe that to our loyal customers of Utah County.

The store has evolved too. Initially geared towards triathlon, by 2010 we were immersed in the road bike sector. At that time we did a few cool things. Early on, we started to get really drawn to proper fitting for both road and tri bikes. We are now F.I.S.T. Fit certified and base our sales process around fitting with our GURU Fit Studio. We also started reaching out to local schools. We have been a long time supporter of cycling efforts at UVU. Many of our top ranked state road racers came up through the ranks of the UVU system. We are also proud to be part of the local high school mountain bike league. We sponsor Orem High, Mountain View, Timpanogos, Timpview and Provo High. As part of the NICA program, high school mountain biking is a fast growing school sport. We are also proud sponsors of numerous other events including one of the longest running century rides in Utah (The Utah COunty Gran Fondo) that navigates Utah Lake in August. We are also proud to be a title sponsor for Team Kid Courage, a charity that uses adaptive equipment to assist disabled children in running, biking and triathlon events.

So what do we do now? We provide an excellent selection of road, tri, mountain, hybrids and other bikes. Our current brands include industry leaders Cannondale and BMC. As mentioned earlier, we back our sales process up with the state-of-the-art Guru Fit sytem. In addition, all of our bikes include "Lifetime Service" for as long as you own the bike.

Finally, there is our personnel. Our service and sales people are just really cool people. They are always happy to help you. No pretensions or attitudes. Our staff ride. They ride road. They ride mountain. They ride single speed. And they will help you with a smile.
